Baby Handprint Kits for Keepsakes, Invitations and Picture Frames

As a new mother, you will always want to treasure your baby handprints.  Creating a beautiful keepsake such as a casting or molding of your newborn footprints or handprints allow you create crafts, invitations, poems and even picture frames with your infants imprint.

Baby handprint kits come within a casting container; they contain plaster of Paris, instructions on how to get a good mold out of your babies hand or foot and a label to let everyone know just who's little print that is!

After you receive the kit, the best way for you to get a great print the first time is to rub a little baby oil on their hand or foot.  This keeps the plaster from sticking to their little fingers.  You don't have to hold it in their long before the imprint is set.

Baby Imprint Kits & Crafts

You don't have to be a professional to make a beautiful handcrafted keepsake of your new baby imprint.  Easy and simple baby imprint kids are available for purchase; starting as low as $7.00.  I've seen some beautiful ones that allow you to take one every year and store them in beautiful keepsake tins; those seem to be running about $40.00.

There are two types that seem to be popular; imprints and casting. I'm personally not too fond of the casting as it just seems that it would be a bit uncomfortable for a newborn.  The baby hand and foot impressions are quick and fast and that sounds good to me!

Below are some fun sites that have some neat baby handprint kits available online.
