My step-daughter is 9 and she is diabetic. Although we
have insurance; I wanted to locate free diabetic testing
equipment because our cost still seem high.
She normally needs to check her sugar levels 5 times per day,
as well as giving herself 2-3 shots per day. We were able
to locate diabetic testing equipment free of charge which sends
you a blood glucose meter. If you are diabetic or have a
loved one who is living with diabetes, you know how expensive
this can be.
The following sites offer free diabetic testing equipment,
some require you to fill out a short form, some offer only to
Medicaid recipients etc. Check out some of the resources

I am still looking for a company who provides the
glucose testing sript for free or at a discounted rate.
The last time I went to pick them up; I think I got ten
discs for 50 dollars. That's a lot when someone
uses 1 disc every two days.
Now as you know most insurances can assist with the cost
of these items, Medicaid also can help out with people
using their system. I've found a few places that
help Medicaid patients get free glucose testing strips
and equipment but not one that can really assist us.
